Reporting on Our Sustainability Performance:
A Disciplined Approach and a Broader View

Let’s create shared value is the sixth Ayala group sustainability report, covering its sustainability performance from January 1 to December 31, 2014. The report was prepared in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines ‘In Accordance’ to its Core option, and assured according to DNV GL VeriSustain Protocol.

All 31 Material Aspects, 46 General Standard Disclosures, and 43 Specific Standard Disclosures of Ayala Corporation and its subsidiaries are presented here. The report details the consolidated financial, economic, social and environmental performance of the conglomerate, with Ayala Land Inc. and Manila Water Company presenting environmental data of their subsidiaries in the Philippines. For the first time, global metrics are disclosed in this report: Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. on both financial and social aspects, and LiveIt on financial results.

The report describes the extent by which the Ayala group has created shared value through its core businesses, and how it contributes to the advancement of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) that were adopted in September 2015.

Ayala pursued a more rigorous and thorough data-gathering and verification system this year to advance its entire group’s sustainability strategy. This is the second year that the group benchmarked with Corporate Knights Capital’s Global 100 Index on environmental indicators and completed GRI’s Materiality Disclosures Service. Moreover, it engaged DNV GL, one of the top global companies for external assurance.
